All this did was make the pointer more precisie, but slowed it down even more. So I head out to Best Buy and pick up a bunch of mice to try out. Here's my results Logitech Wireless mouse 3 different models : I installed the setpoint software each time, and was able to make the pointer and accell much faster, however, the mouse pointer becomes very jumpy and erratic, making it it hard to click on buttons or select anything with any accuracy.

I still don't understand how using the same mouse, on the same surface, using the same driver, and the same settings, works fine on XP, but not on Vista. I am a long time use of the Logitech mx Logitech replaced the mx with the G You can go with its laser alternative, the G , but this might be over kill for your usage.

I'll try it tomorrow. Well i checked and my mouse scheme was already set to none, so that didn't help. So I'm on day 4 of searing fiery pain in my hand, still unable to find a solution.

It has to be the mouse subsytem of Vista.
